So if you want to put icons as events - you will need to arrange them into a 12 x 8 grid and place it in the characters folder. What you want to do is create an item and set it so itll only appear in the menu screen and not battle. A quick note: if the icons youre using are formatted, for example as 6 icons across by 3 icons down, you have 2 options. mlogan I think he meant the Tent Item from the Final Fantasy games. In those games the item will allow a party to completely heal, but either only on the world map or at a save point in the dungeon. You will need to set fixed direction for it to stay the same colour ie stop the event from changing the direction it faces. Save this image as IconSet.png in the Graphics/System folder of your game (NOT in the RTP folder under the main program or you will overwrite the default set with your new file). The colour of the portals probably depends on the direction the event is facing (see the orange arrows). So for that sheet with the crystals - the sprite sheet in total is taller - so each individual sprite is taller when you divide that by 8.ģ. MV only reads a single file for the icons. ![]() ![]() In the regular character sheet, the editor divides the total sheet width by 12 and the height by 8 to work out the size of each individual sprite (then groups a set of 3x4 sprites together as each 'character' - see the coloured boxes). In MV you need to edit the iconsets to make them into a single file. ![]() There is no restriction on the actual size of the character sprite sheets. Only images in the "characters" folder shows when picking a sprite for an event - it's more of a bonus feature to have the tileset B and C of the map available as well.Ģ.
